THE LOST ART OF SWOONING

......Attentive, polite and pliable,
.........never looking like a wreck,

............with lotioned palms, sculpted nails
...............draped around his solid neck,

...................she curves into his leading,
..................sways in his strong arms,

................dances through the marble
..............of his hardening charms.

...........She sways before his smile,
......pretending it's the wine,

....he dips her, as her long curls
.....swirl around him like a vine.

.....Contentedly off center,
......and elegant in receiving,

..........shes not from the United States,
............where a swoon would ruin the evening.
